A Residential Wireman Apprenticeship is a structured training program that combines paid, hands-on job experience with classroom instruction. At Tiger Institute of Technology, apprentices work under licensed electricians while completing NCCER-aligned coursework to prepare for a career as a residential electrician.

The program is 30 months (2.5 years) and includes:

• 4,800 hours of On-the-Job Learning (OJL)

• 433 hours of Related Technical Instruction (RTI)

This structure ensures apprentices gain both real-world experience and technical knowledge.

Yes, students are encouraged to apply with an employer sponsor already in place.

Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

This evening schedule allows apprentices to work during the day while completing required classroom instruction.
